Reborn

Overview

Reborn is a residential project of particular meaning for La dolce vita, a three-story, 52.3-ping renovation of an old townhouse in Taichung. Its depth lies not in the space itself, but in who the homeowner is. The owner of this home is a longtime construction partner of ours, who has executed countless of our projects with his own hands. He knows intimately what we believe and what we insist upon. When he chose to entrust his own home to our design, that trust became the starting point of every decision.

We took pure wood and abundant daylight as the design's bone structure, allowing the old house to be reawakened by light and air while preserving its marks of time. Every detail was considered from the homeowner's perspective, built on years of shared work and quiet trust. Reborn is more than the rebirth of an old home. It is the embodiment of the trust between designers and the craftsmen who build with us.
